Cross Country to Start....

Cross Country Meeting

A Cross Country Meeting will be held on Monday, March 1 (Cohort 2), and Tuesday, March 2 (Cohort 1), in Miss Campbell-Parr's room at 2:15.  6th graders can come either day.  Practice will start Wednesday, March 3.

Please make sure your information is current in RMA. Students must be registered in RMA to participate in a sport.

Athletics Reopening Plan

Governor Sisolak has issued a directive to allow for athletics training, practices and competition in accordance with guidelines from the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association (NIAA). Please read the conditions of reopening  outlined in the directive.

All students must have their completed athletic packets on file with RMA prior to the first day of participation in a sport, including tryouts. Athletic packets must be submitted through RMA in the link provided below. In that packet is a proof of a physical form and proof of insurance form. If the athletic packet is not filled out, the athlete will not be able to tryout. Good luck!

REMEMBER, all athletes trying out must have a current physical packet on file to tryout. If 8th graders played or tried out for a sport last year, they do not need another physical. 7th grade continuing student-athletes who played a sport earlier in the school year do not need another physical.

If students are trying out for a sport, students need to attend all tryout days unless there is a cut made.

Important: Regarding transportation, if a student-athlete is not going to ride the bus back to school from an away game, the coach can only release the student directly to a parent and only with a signed transportation release form (available below). Thank you for your cooperation.

Register My Athlete

Students who wish to play a sport for Pau-Wa-Lu Middle School MUST register through Register My Athlete, commonly referred to as RMA.   Click the link below to be directed to the RMA website.

student eligibility requirements

Grades & Conduct
  • No more than 2 N's or 1 U in conduct
  • No more than 2 D's or 1 F in grades
  • GRADES and CONDUCT are checked every Friday

If the student does not meet the requirements above, the student will be ineligible to play the following week.  The student will not be able to travel to away games with their team.

After School tutoring/Supervision

Before Athletic Events: if you or your child stays for an athletic event they will need to attend tutoring prior to the event. We do not want unsupervised students on campus prior to a 3:00pm game. This is a great opportunity for them to stay on campus and complete homework, make-up missing assignments, or read in a tutoring session from 2:15PM-2:50PM. Thanks for your cooperation.

ADDITIONALLY, if a student stays at school for an after-school event they must be at that event. Students are not allowed to be in other parts of the school after-school, unsupervised.
