Registration Information


Welcome to Pau-Wa-Lu Middle School.  

New Student Registration

Students new to our district and planning on attending PWLMS  may register online here.  For information related to student registration, please call 775-265-6100 to schedule an appointment, however, registration is all online.  You may want to have the following documents available:

Note: The following documents are required for registration: 

  • Birth certificate
  • Record of immunizations
  • Transcript or last report card
  • Copy of your student’s IEP, if applicable
  • Proof of residency - must show TWO (2) primary forms of residency (showing current physical address for student)
    • Rental, lease or purchase agreement for claimed residence
    • Most recent utility bill (internet, gas, electric, water, etc) that shows service address
    • Valid drivers license or state identification showing claimed residence
      • If parent/guardian cannot provide the above preferred residency documents, click HERE for a list of alternative residency documents
  • Completed online registration 
  • Registration packet Spanish (below) or use the link above to the DCSD website
Current Students - Grade level registration

Current 8th Grade Students:

  • Will require a transition meeting with their counselor and parent to register for 9th grade classes.  More information will be sent out in January of each year.

Current 6th/7th Grade Students:

  • Will register at PWL with the guidance of their counselor and parents during the spring.  Information will be sent out each year on how this will take place. 

Current 5th Grade Students:

  • Will register in the spring for 6th grade with the guidance of the PWL counselors at their current elementary school.  Information will be sent out each year on how this will take place.
